Almost every summer, I would try to find a U-pick blackberry/some-berry farm nearby. In Texas. I had these wonderful memories of doing this as a kid, I think somewhere outside of Brenham (sidenote: someone send me Blue Bell). One year of my semi-adult life I was able to find a place to pick blackberries. I picked a bunch and it was awesome. But every other year, my search was futile. (more…)
So Kate started her real life recently. Meanwhile, I started my pretend real life. This is the time when medical students go from study-study-study in the 1st 2 years to…work-work-study-study in the 3rd year. We get to pretend to be doctors and most days it’s the best.
For the past 6 weeks, I’ve been pretending to be an ob/gyn. There have been babies. There have been ladies (like, all ladies obvs). There have been…other things involved in ob/gyn that we don’t need to talk about. It’s been preeetttyyy awesome. (more…)
Usually, I feel like Christmas break is almost too long. Like I get bored and feel like it’s been ages since I stepped foot on campus. I do not feel this way this week. Alas, school doesn’t ask me about these things (though, it totally should).
Since I have seven days of nothingness left, I’m making a To Do list.
