Well. Here we are. A month into 2016 and here’s what I have to show for it:
I learned that you can remove gel nail polish at home on your own. You don’t HAVE to fall into the trap of “oh I need to go into get this polish removed…so while I’m there I should probs just get them re-done”…but that will probably still happen.
We have a surplus of dips at our apartment because Super Bowl. Want to come eat chips and dip with us?
I bought a new planner, and to make myself feel more accomplished I write down things I can easily check off. Not quite to the point of “brush teeth” as a check box, but we’re getting there.
We’re adjusting to grocery shopping for both of us slowly but surely. It is shocking the amount of broccoli and brussel sprouts we eat, mostly because we eat roasted vegetables all the time all the time for every meal.
( ^ that’s to balance out the excess chips and dip)
I don’t either. But I’ll be moving there in June to start my Medicine/Pediatrics residency at University of Michigan! After all that traveling and all those interviews and all that contemplating about lists and ranks and cities and hospitals…4th med students all over the country found out where they’ll be for residency for the next few years. What’s funny is that everyday for the past month I’ve said, “Yeah but TODAY I’m gonna write a blog post.” And then everyday there’s all the studying, and the working out, and the errands, and the Bachelor…and then it’s bedtime.
And now here we are. In February. I can count on NO hands the number of posts I’ve written since December. Because it’s zero. And because I’m the worst. (more…)
Milestones are happening in the Fleur-De-Licious world! Milestones like the last day of law school class. And the last finals ever. And impending real world lawyer jobs. MOST IMPORTANTLY however, Kate will be moving to Dallas soon, which is where I live, which means that for the first time since graduating high school in 2006…I get to live in the same city as my best friend. There will be champagne when she gets here. We are classy ladies. (more…)
Oh. So one time, I made scones a full WEEK before Valentine’s day so that I could post them in time for you to make the perfect breakfast for your love!!! They were even semi heart-shaped, and full of red jam, and I planned them out for at LEAST 4 days. I was so on top of my game. (more…)
