Peanut Butter & Chocolate Rolo Cookies

Is that a long enough name for a cookie?

Has it been a long enough time since I wrote a blog post?  Or should I stay away for another, oh, I dunno FOUR MONTHS.

I would like to take this opportunity to make a post-dated announcement: Fleur-de-Licious went on a brief hiatus, due to…intern year.  It’s the real deal.  These 80+ hour work weeks are no joke.  But if my New Years Resolution is going to involve cookies and stuff (like, making and eating more obvi), then I see this as a perfect time to make another announcement: FLEUR-DE-LICIOUS IS BACK Y’ALL.

Today (and pretty much every day of my life lately) I settled into a booth at a coffee shop to feel increasingly bad about my intelligence study. (Like, I get that the Sample Answers to these practice questions are written by professionals with unlimited time and also access to law books. But also, it feels super terrible to miss half of what the Sample Answer brings up. So THANKS.)

Over the next few hours, I couldn’t believe people around me. They had the audacity to live and breathe and interact in my presence. What’s that even about?! I’M STUDYING OVER HERE.

Oh… hey, you. Do you come here often? That’s cool. I used to, too.  It’s been a little while since I’ve been back, though.

Soooorry. As you may have guessed (because you’re so smart), it’s finals time. At least in law school it is. Which means that I now live, eat, sleep, and breathe words on pages about property disposition and maritime negligence and prior restraints on publications and proportionality in death penalty cases.

It’s so super fun, y’all. Believe me.

The other night, though, I decided to live and eat something else. Like these cookies. I am so glad I did.
