I’ve realized important two things.
First, I don’t eat enough bagels. From a health standpoint, I’m sure I eat enough bagels. There’s probably not a daily recommended allowance of bagels, although there should be, and it should be 5. When I got home from the hospital Sunday morning, I stood in front of my fridge for far too long, trying to figure out why I didn’t want to eat anything that was inside (aside from the fact that there’s basically just eggs and string cheese in there). There are a LOT of things on my to-do list and practically none of them involve studying. (By practically none I mean…one of them is studying.)
I need to paint my nails in the spirit of Valentine’s Day. I spent >30 minutes at CVS tonight choosing the PERFECT sparkly pink nail polish. Also buying new mascara (other tube only has 75% left, clearly need more) and trying not to buy candy because obvi it will be on sale in 2 days.
Drum roll please!
I started my life as a Real Adult last week.
(I don’t know who let me slip through the cracks like that… but it happened. And now I’m a Real Adult. WHAT?!)
So, I’m on my OB/Gyn rotation right now. On the OB part with the babies. And the thing is that OB’s work a lot. Like…a lot.
The main problem with this is not the loss of sleeping hours, although that is sort of a sad thing. The main problem is that when you get up really early and your day is really long, you’ve created these extra meal times. Continue reading
Wanna know something rad?
Monday night, I wanted to see my best friend Hannah. So… we just
called (who are we kidding? texted) each other and made plans to see each other. She came over, brought The Weatherman, and we all hate-watched The Bachelorette over one-too-many cocktails. (JK. Never too many cocktails).
I tell you what. This whole Living in the Same City as Your Best Friend thing is the best.
Recently I learned 2 important things about myself.
1) I will put on pink lipstick before any task I think may be stressful or that may make me feel like I’m not in control. Like while I’m waiting for my ride to the airport, which happened to be quite late, and it happened to end up not mattering at all. (Is mattering even a word? I don’t think this thing has very good spell check.) Or like when I hear that our flight to Denver is going to be delayed due to blizzard conditions.
Nothing I can do about it, so I might as well put on some lipstick. Continue reading
You guys, EPIC NEWS.
We (Hannah and I) took a picture together when we were in the same place and looking pretty!! Check it ouuuuttt!
Sorry if this ruins some elaborate narrative you had about us actually being the same person, or two different sides of Hannah’s personality, or if you thought that I was maybe a dude. I hope you can forgive us and that we can still be internet friends.
Okay, with that EPIC NEWS out of the way, let’s talk about something really serious… Like how everything is out to get me recently.
